Purpose

The purpose of this website is to provide information regarding my personal philosophy for using educational technology to facilitate student learning when appropriate. My personal philosophy is that using educational technology to facilitate student learning allows me to meet the needs of each student while preparing them for future opportunities. I am also able to promote equitable use by breaking barriers created by personal and/or social circumstances. Using technology also allows educators the ability to integrate differentiation in a broader way to ensure an equitable social and professional future for all students.  Students must also be taught the ethical use of technology to ensure proper care of technology equipment, internet safety and ethics, and purposeful technology use. I also believe that as educators, we have a social responsibility to use technology to provide students with a more diverse education, expanded technical skills, and increased opportunities.
