Methods for Integrating Educational Technology

One method for integrating educational technology to facilitate student learning in the classroom is station rotation blended learning. This method facilitates student learning because it “allows students to rotate through stations on a fixed schedule, where at least one of the stations is an online learning station.” (TeachThought, 2019) This method is mostly used in elementary schools as rotating centers or stations, and it facilitates learning by allowing the students to move through the lesson in phases. This method can be used for integrating education technology by using educational technology in one or two of the rotations. For example, one rotation could be on computers, and another rotation could be on i-Pads.

Another method for integrating education technology is mastery-based blended learning. This method also facilitates student learning by “Students rotate between online and face-to-face learning (activities, assessments, projects, etc.) based on the completion of mastery-based learning objectives.” (TeachThought, 2019)  This allows students to access multiple types of learning methods to prepare them to show mastery.
